The Tea Party voted lockstep against extending the PATRIOT Act, along with the Democrats. The Obama administration is pushing to extend it through 2013.
I don't understand it. What the hell, Obama? You're gonna let yourself get shown up by a bunch of jackasses with a 3rd grade grasp on history and civics? You've broken your word to not intervene with states on marijuana laws, you've done nothing with the FEC since the SCOTUS pretty much gave American politics to private industry, you've dropped
"God is on our side" and
"weapons tools of mass destruction" in speeches like you're a goddamn neo-con, you've dragged ass on LGBT issues... what really bugs me is that he's still prolly the nicest guy we've had in office, and one of the better qualified ones at that; nicest, most decent authoritarian capitalist tool we've had so far.
I hate mainstream politics.
